# Recommendations

AWS Well-Architected Agent provides personalized recommendations in the AWS WA Agent dashboard to help you optimize your AWS infrastructure costs, improve performance, and enhance security. Recommendations are based on your goals and generated by analyzing your AWS environment across multiple data sources. You can view, filter, export, share, and implement recommendations.

The AWS WA Agent dashboard displays three types of recommendations:
+ **Resource:** Targets a specific resource such as an Amazon EC2 instance, Lambda function, or Amazon RDS database. Resource-level recommendations address optimization opportunities at the individual resource level.
+ **Application:** Spans multiple related resources within a discovered application. Application-level recommendations consider how resources interact and provide guidance that accounts for relationships between components.
+ **Architecture:** Generated from IaC template analysis. These recommendations target your infrastructure design before deployment and include updated templates with best-practice fixes applied.

 AWS WA Agent provides both scheduled and manual recommendations. Application- and resource-level recommendations occur in the scheduled recommendations, which are generated roughly every 24 hours. Architecture recommendations are only provided through the manual architecture review process. 

**Important**  
Application-level recommendations are a new recommendation format currently in beta. We are actively seeking customer feedback to improve their quality and relevance. As with any AI-generated content, please thoroughly review each recommendation before taking any action based on it.

The AWS WA Agent dashboard presents recommendations in the following categories:
+ **High priority recommendations:** Dynamically ranked recommendations based on your goals and potential impact.
+ **All recommendations:** A complete list of cloud optimization recommendations.
+ **Reviews:** Status updates and information on architecture reviews.
